Supernova (veNOVA)

Supernova is a ve(3,3) DEX on Ethereum, built as a shared liquidity hub for projects and their communities. It comes from the team behind Blackhole on Avalanche and brings the same ve(3,3) coordination model to Ethereum inside a modular AMM framework. veX is the marketplace where Supernova's vote-escrowed NFTs trade.

What is a veNOVA NFT?

A veNOVA NFT is a locked NOVA position represented as an NFT. Locking NOVA grants:

  • Voting power to direct NOVA emissions to liquidity pools each epoch
  • Trading fees from the pools you vote for
  • Incentives from projects competing for emissions

Buying a veNOVA NFT on veX transfers the whole position (locked tokens, voting power, and any unclaimed rewards) in one on-chain transaction.

Why buy veNOVA on veX instead of locking NOVA?

Buying an existing position on veX means paying less than the locked value, because sellers accept a discount in exchange for exiting early. Locking fresh NOVA yourself always costs the full token price. Current discounts for every Supernova listing are on the veX analytics page.

Things to check before buying

  • Lock end date: a permanent lock never unlocks; a dated lock unlocks on schedule and its voting power decays toward that date
  • Voting power vs locked amount: on dated locks, voting power is lower than the locked amount and shrinks over time
  • Current discount vs the market: compare against other live Supernova listings before you commit

How do I sell a locked veNOVA position?

You can sell a locked veNOVA position on veX without waiting for the lock to expire. The buyer takes over the locked NOVA and the remaining lock time.

Connect the wallet holding the veNOVA and open your veX dashboard. The position appears under Positions, where you can list it. Set a price, or set a discount to the locked value and let veX work out the price. You approve the NFT once, then confirm the listing.

That approval only lets the marketplace move the NFT when someone buys it. veX is non-custodial, so the position stays in your wallet, keeps earning and voting, and you can delist whenever you want. veX charges 2.5% on Supernova sales, paid by the seller.

What is a locked veNOVA position worth?

A veNOVA position usually sells for less than the NOVA locked inside it, because the buyer is taking on the rest of the lock. The seller chooses that discount.

Live Supernova discounts are on the veX analytics page.
